last blog post

Dear blog readers
I think this is the last time I blog at school
Because it is nearly the holidays and Christmas so i will be having a holiday.

I hope you liked all my blog post's this year and i hope you will like my next year post's thank you for looking and commenting on my blog and I am now going to tell you three things that I liked about year six.


1. my first highlight is camp. i had a fun experience at camp and we did heaps of activities.


2.  my next highlight was year 5 & 6 camp. We did a whole bunch of things my favourite part was when we were doing concert night.


3.my third highlight is on Friday's. we get to play cool math games and we did defly.io and i was coming close to top five and i found Mr Goodwin.

Happy holidays 2

Today we went to town, we also went to my mum's work. We played outside with a basketball and a  rugby ball and I played with my little brother. when we were playing rugby I got all the tries and shoots (for both of the sports I mentioned) and I won. Then we went to go to the museum but instead we went to the pools. We ate before we wet to swim at the pools and it was delicious. Then we found out one of my favorite pools was closed until a certain time so we went into the cold pool it was the same pool I went too last time. Then the waves turned on and I was in with the waves and I had t be careful  because one time a wave knocked me into a wall. and then we went back home.

Happy holidays

Today I went to the pools with some of my family. We went there because my brother has swimming lessons. When we went there we went to the other pool. I had a swim in te freezing cold pool then moved into the warm pool and the moved into the really hot ne my favroute was the cold pool. Then I noticed my brother had finished his swimming lessons and i had to switch for who looked after him. My favorite part with my brother was the tall pole that has water coming out the top and falls down all around it. There is also a water slide.

the rocky shore


Task Description: today we went to the rocky shore and we found some creatures and we used are chromebooks to do this presentation with this box that makes wifi N4L is the signal.

Trip to museum

Today and on Monday we went to the museum we had an orientation. We meet some people they gave us cards some cards we had to split them up into to categories ocean and rocky shore. We got to look at the gallery next. Then we went to the room where we first meet the people and we had three different activities. The virtual reality, robots and an activity where we make a person and we make them walk on the camera. Then I went to create thing in the virtual reality and it was so messed up there were leaves all over the place and paint. Then I was making some ground trees and leaves and and when it was nearly time to get off I was messing it up drawing our names and then I deleted it.

There was a boy and he young angry but strong. He was not kind. He went on planes everyday. He was so dumb because he never got an any grade higher f- so that is why he is so dumb. He was so fast as well because he was strong so his legs can move the fastest. He can push his




Then he crashed on an island and he went to the sand and he was so hungry that he started eating helplessly. He did a lot of egg farts and then he heard a weird noise and he got scared. He heard the weird noise louder and then he saw the boar and he ran and the boar was sniffing the fart. It was attracted to the fart and he was running so fast and leaving a fart trail. Then it was night and the boar was out in the wild and then he was farting running everywhere. He was so angry he stopped and the boar found him and and was charging and then the boar was pushing but the boy was holding back. Then he started running way and the boar was weak but was strong enough and the boy was running. He was eating the sand while he was running and then he was taking his time and he was farting. Then he thought it was a bad idea to get the boar’s attention. He found a really strong tree. Also a rock, the rock is sharp and he started to cut the tree down and it was easy because he was so strong. He had noticed the boar had found him but the boy started to throw rocks at it and it ran away. After that he started to make the raft and he made it and went to his home and lived angrily ever after.
Task Description: we had to get into a circle and pass the Chromebooks and the people chose our topics for example he was strong not smart not weak. but you could only choose one.

One day there was this boy he was really fat and he liked science. he had a real mad scientist for his science teacher. He was a mad scientist because he made so many inventions and he was obsessed with them and he is on a lot of posters. He wore a pot on his head and he wore a white coat and white pants all the time.He taught him a lot about the psychics and he was so smart, and his name was Joe and the teacher was called professor crazy. Then a strange thing was happening to the invention he had mad. This is how it works you put water in the top and it says the food you want. For example cheeseburger and it says cheeseburger with a really deep voice and it starts to make the cheeseburger. Than the invention was overpowered and it went flying into the sky and stayed there and it has rain up in the sky so he connected the machine signal to the satellite to the food maker. And he was sending messages to it through the computer that goes to the satellite that sends to the machine and it was making raining food. And he could choose any food he wanted.




Then Joe was eating the food and his dad was too and they got so and then a noodle tornado happen and then we went for cover. Then he was so sick of all the food and he was making his own invention and he went to the scientist and then he got a ship. Then he went to find it and he was dodging the food that was in the way and then there were meatballs. He went to the machine and his invention was unbreakable tape and then he taped the machine and it blew up but the tape was still together and the machine was broken. Professor crazy said he didn’t even name it and he thought of the name and he said “it is called the…..living food compactor”. Then Joe came back and he was famous and he was called the tape dispenser. When it had been a few years later Joe was the president but he was not fat he was one hundred percent fit and his dad was not fat as well but he was in the retired house and he. Had been into olden day stuff but when Joe use to be a kid he got bullied and he said he is to dumb and fat but he wasn’t. His mum said to him that he did not need to worry because the other scientist’s would hear people saying that he was crazy.
Task Description: we had to make a story like Paul Jennings. We had options and i chose raining food like cloudy with a chance of meatballs.

About the rocky shore









introduction


The rocky shore is a habitat in the intertidal area most commonly along the coast of New Zealand. The rocky shore has many different zones there is the intertidal zone known as the littoral zone, Supratidal zone known as splash zone and subtidal. It is a magnificent area with lots of cool creatures contains plant life and harsh conditions for the organisms.



Splash zone


The splash zone is an area where there is no water but can still be wet the scientific name is supratidal. The splash zone only gets covered in water when it is king tides and during storms. Animals and plants that live in the zone, can stand the high temperatures from the sun causing them to die. Other times it can be sprayed by the waves breaking.




intertidal/ littoral zone


The intertidal zone or littoral zone is the sea bed between the highest and lowest limits of the tide. The intertidal zone is three zones high tide, middle zone and the low tide. The thing that live there can live in the sea and out of the sea in the rocky shore I will name them the carb and thew mussels. They can breathe out of water and in the water.

The subtidal zone is directly under the intertidal zone and is under water. The subtidal zone is directly under the intertidal zone and is under water. The subtidal is a zone that is permanently covered with water and has many different life. It also is under the low tide mark this is much more stable then the intertidal zone. The organisms don’t dry up because it is cold in the water and is permanently covered with water.




conclusion


The rocky shore is an intertidal habitat along the coast of new zealand but also in other places as well. The rocky shore has many different zones including intertidal, subtidal, supratidal and more zones. The rocky shore is a good place to study with extraordinary things.

river head forest trail run


Today I will be telling you about the run I had today. As you can tell the first picture of dirty shoes that the other people had used there. The second picture is all of us after the race I already ate my bread and sausage we all got to have a free sausage and got three. The last picture is me by my self with mud on my face from slipping over. This run was six and a half km we did the short run again but it was not short. it was slippery and muddy I got really muddy i had to wash my hands twice I had sore feet after the run. I thought it was fun and tiring and it was the hardest run I had.

Narrative Writing

Test starts

Today I went to extension at school and had a English test, it was tricky we had different categories. My teacher then sends us to class we all wanted to get 100%. I said “ wonder when we are going to get our marks” I said “I don’t know” replied Austin. “ I wonder what the pupils in class are doing” I said “just say people not pupils” Austin said. My teacher teaches times tables to our class most of the time then it ends about half way through. Then I went to do some exercises at kiwi sport and when it was over I had a rest. When school was over my dad came to pick me up and drives home.

Guess my animal


Today I will be telling you a story about a natural life as an animal. My animal is going to be a random animal you can guess the animal in the comments. My animal can catch some fish with their sharp jabby claws. They eat it raw and use sharp teeth, it is hard to catch fish without bait and my animal can. Then he walked into the forest and found his cave it was very dark there. When he came out he was wondering where all the other animals were, he wanted to play with his friends.


He liked to climb with them, mostly on the rocks in the river, he has only ever meet bears. He likes to feel the grass on his feet he is also good at sleeping. He has a friend that had a race in swimming they were good swimmers.

Piha beach

Yesterday I went to Piha to watch the king waves it was really foamy. I was wet and I made the foam go across the sand because of the wind. The king waves were huge we couldn't go swimming because they were strong. I also brought my dog he was having a sniff around, he was also walking in the foam. The picture is obviously not where I was I didn't take any photo's but this is Piha. The waves were much bigger then the waves on the picture  and the big giant rock had waves crashing into it and up the rock.

Run at Totara Park

Today I went to Totara Park for a run, we did the short run again but it is not short it is 7 kms. As you can see on the picture we’re outside a tent I have a lollipop in my mouth. We both have beanies on, we are just about to have a run. I did not run as long as I did on the first run I did more walking this time. The people who also ran with me were my sister Bethan and my stepmom Jayne. I stayed with Jayne halfway than walked most of the rest because I was tired. One time I slipped over because of the mud. Jayne was cheering me on when I made it to the end. I was exhausted we were waiting for Bethan and then we got a hot dog. I had a fun and awesome day I was glad I chose to go to the run.

Auckland to Helena bay

Today I will be telling you about part two of my holidays. When I was at my mum’s house I got to go to the beach at Ngahau a lot. But at my Nana's house she had an Xbox 360 we brought it to my mum’s house and played on it. When we played  on it i had fun, the next day with some of my step brothers and step sister we had a feast. We played on the skate park i had nothing but i was doing parkour. After that we were meeting my Nana in town she brought our scooters we went to the skate park had fun then did parkour again. Then we stayed at home watching TV and stuff, on Wednesday we went back to my dad’s house.

recount about holidays



Today I will be telling you about my holiday, I came to my mum's house which is in Helena bay past whangarei. when I got to wells ford which is where we stopped I went with my mum and we had to drive there for ages. when we got there it was bedtime so we went to bed we got some swim suits the next day. We had to get some pipis from the beach ngahau bay it is one of my favourite beaches. when I go there, my first thought is the water is going to be cold isn't it. I didn't get much pipis eleven was the total I got, when i came out we were going to leave so we left. We had to have a shower and we went on our chomebooks and played games.


The next day we were fishing at the wharf and we did not catch anything. We went back home and went on our chromebooks after that it was bedtime.

Desert island

When I woke up, I found myself stranded on an island. If I looked around I could find something, or someone. While I got the map, that I had found I said I can not eat food.


Then I said “wait there is food and water all around me, sea water and sand.” I hesitated while I was talking to myself. I started to eat the sand and start to shape it in an S signal but I only got half way. I went to drink the salt water. While I was drinking,I was thinking how did I get into this situation. I rested myself under a tree and fell asleep.


The Next Day….



I woke up thinking I was in bed then shouting in fear I noticed that I was still at the island. Than I said “what kinda map is this an old map from people that use to live here, is it people who came here and left or was it Pirates. I thought to myself and then, I shouted “PIRATES!!!!!!” I said to myself, “there could be treasure.” Then I started to eat the sand again and continued with the S shape, excluding the thought of how to get off the island. While i was drinking water, I saw something glistening in the water, a copper cup?


That evening….



He took the cup and put water in it, I said “I think I crashed in the water in a fancy plane.””I have to find a way to get off this island, okay let’s get building” I was looking for a sharp rock and I found one I took ages to cut the wood. Then i got the leaves and put it together and made a raft. I left and found the treasure and people found me and took me back to where I lived.

Run at Waiuku

Today I went to Waiuku for a run It was seven point three Km. The people who did the run was me Roman, Justice, Jayne (My stepmom) and Bethan. I stayed with Jayne when we did our run. I only had one Lolly at the water stations we filled our water bottles we did the short run. We had to follow the arrows that are red there was a lot of marks so we know where to go. I got a swollen index finger on the run and a rolled ankle. The picture will show you that I got muddy there was this muddy part that was slippery. I fell into it and got dirty from waist down and got some on my face as you can tell from the picture. I was so muddy and I don't think my clothes will be washed to it’s normal colour.

Souvenir on our walk, recount



Today my family went to Cornwall Park with my dog and some friends The names of the friends were Rachel and Warren. We had a mission it was to find something and make something up of where I got it from. I said that I cut it out of the Canadian flag and changed it to look like an actual leaf. I also said that I put holes in it. I made that up like the rest of my family that was the only thing I could think of I wanted to do it because it kinda looked like the Canadian flag leaf in the middle. Look at the similarities in the pictures the Canadian flag and the leaf we obviously know that they aren't exactly the same. Leaf on the pictures I just got it because it looks like it.

One day this fat burger went to school he liked farting so he did a lot of farts on the mat he said “that’s a refreshing smell” it was so cool, then huge of his farting. “Teacher: WHAT IS THAT SMELL” What smell said the children? “Teacher the smell” WHAT SMELL! “Teacher: it smells like fart” WHAT IT DOES “Fat burger: Uh uh I farted. ;-; “WHAT!” I farted” NO U DIDN'T BECAUSE I SMELL NOTHING IT JUST SMELLS NORMAL AS NORMAL. NO I FARTED. FINE I GUESS I SMELL IT NOW. I went to KFC after school, I needed to have diarrhoea for about an hour. So he did, man it was so stinky and it even stank up. After he stand up he went out and for some reason some diarrhoea came. This guy wanted to have a pooping challenge so they did. He said “ GAME ON BRO I’M GONNA WIN BRO BRO”, the fat burger said “NO I WILL BRO BRO” They even did it at the tables. It stank up the whole place. “I’M WINNING BRO BRO” The fat burger said. “I’M GONNA BEAT YOU RIGHT NOW BRO BRO” Said the man. YEAH RIGHT BRO BRO, when he said that he had a huge diarrhoea explosion, YEAH SEE I’M GONNA WIN”. After they went the toilet cleaners went all the way to the others side of the world. No one wanted to be a toilet cleaner because of that. One day a brave child chose to be toilet cleaner he was not scared at all. He clean everything in the toilet room or bath room.

The gorgeous tree trunks are thick with bark it is tall it feels hard it tastes yuck it sounds quite it smell fresh like a tree.

The leaves are crunchy they fall down off the trees they are crisped they are dry and brown because they are rotten.

The green grass is wet and soft with some small insects in them and they glisten because of the sun shining through the grass.

People riding their bikes in between the trees having fun and doing races.

The ocean is shining bright with a sparkly touch of blue with the small waves crashing across the sand with different shades of light blue little bit darker blue and than dark blue .


The soft sand glistens with a touch bright gold from the sun it sparkles like glitter in that sand it also has shades because of the water.

The sky is blue, filled with fluffy clouds, it shines bright because of the bright sun in the sky, the sky has slightly different shades of blue.

People enjoying the seawater and having a nice time in the water they like the heat and cold
together and are having a nice time.

Task Description: we got three topics for describing the picture, we had to choose something that there could be there but there isn't there mine was people the top sentence is ocean the second is sand the third one is sky and the last one is people even if it is not there.

year 5 and 6 camp

WALT: write in paragraphs



Today we are writing about Year 5 and 6 Camp we were doing activities they put up the tents and the marque.



Camp is a fun day at school, it gives people a fun experience for kids and helpers Thank you helpers! Miss Tuiā was our camp teacher our camp leaders were Madi and Simon, it started Wednesday to Friday. We did it for fun we did, we slept in a tent and we did killer zone, cyclo ball, Mangere Pools,
Kayaking,Concert Night/ Practice, Movie night - Small Foot, Hall Activities:
Skateboarding
Scooters
Ramps
Ping pong/ Table tennis
Trampoline/ Flip mat
Jump Jam


Out of all of the activities my favorite was killer zone with Mr Jacobson. I liked it because it was giving me even more energy for camp then i had before camp started. My other favorite camp project was the concert we were the group called Batay it stands for children in filipino. My team leaders are Simon and Madi we worked on our chant it didn’t take long. The concert was surprising because my group was up first and i thought we would be third to.


The concert was making me nervous because i had to perform in front of some adults that I don’t know. When it was time to sleep i heard a lot of talking outside my tent the first night. I tried sleeping the whole night but it did not work at all. The second sleep was way better, i had more energy to do jump jam in the hall.


All of this fun wouldn’t be possible without the helpers so i will just have to say thank you helpers. I like to say thanks for all the help that gave us for fun time it was so helpful. I would also say thanks to Mrs Haere for the extra fun.

Then this burger came by and said wow healthy food is yuck and the watermelon sad so the watermelon cried seeds.Then some friends came and made him feel better. After he felt good again he saw the burger and fries chilling. Then they saw Watermelon  so they purposely came and said “why don’t you just go drink coke and he said why can you see me man go away you man with a coke on your big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big big four head man look at it you big big big big big big big big big big big head man go away just look at it you big head. I love myself I like to eat some patties and buns . But i do not like to my toes and also I don’t like le tos. I love fries to. Then I ate it the patties and then I had to go to the hospital. When I got out of hospital I told myself I will only eat healthy things.

One day a boy named Kauri, woke up from his sleep and noticed a room. He was forbidden from this room.


He was going to play outside, but then he saw the sign with the word forbidden and he froze. Then he turned towards it and he knew he was not supposed to go in but he was so curious he could not stop himself. He went towards it but suddenly his dad shouted “BREAKFAST IS READY!” so he went to the table. Kauri saw five cereal bowls on the table and he saw his sister, brother, mum and dad at the table eating their breakfast. So he sat down and ate to, when he was finished he went outside to play.



He was playing on his trampoline he got bored so he went inside to read a book he was going to his room and the forbidden door disappeared. He had a plan it was when it was time for him to go to bed he would sneak in the forbidden room. So late that night he waited when his mum and dad went to sleep when they fell asleep. He opened his door and he went into the forbidden room and he saw this machine thing he did not no what it was. He was going towards it and he went in it he saw multiple buttons and he thought it was fake but when he pushed the blue button and it shut the door and gave him a fright. When he got the fright he jumped and hit a lever. He was worried when he tried opening the door with the blue button but there were so many blue buttons. So he just pressed all of the buttons and he accidentally activated the machine and it burst out smoke. And evolved into a wizard with a magical staff.




He went out of the room and he was disappointed on himself and he told his dad the next day. His dad was trying to find a spell and as Kauri was doing jobs he was grounded. He was so angry at himself when he found out that he had to do garden work as well. And his dad came out happy and tried to make Kauri back to himself but it just made him faster and he could do jobs faster. Then his dad got a little bit annoyed and went inside but he practised this one spell and then he got it and tested it and his son was back to normal. But he was still grounded and still had to do jobs.

Mission Recount

WALT: Structure a recount correctly






Today are teacher took us on a super secret mission. He was acting like a real general it was hilarious .


The first activity that we did was marching we had to listen to General Goodwin first we lined up straight. He told us to be shoulder to shoulder next to the person next to you and when we started to walk he started saying left right left right. We were listening very careful to him because of his strict hilarious voice. He would tell you to wipe your smile off your faces.


The second exercise we did was sneaking we were going to sneak across the class near by without a noise. Some people were making noises on purpose which is annoying. Some people were taking it serious A.K.A Moui. When i was sneaking across i was walking normally without a sound some people were crouching down. We were so bad at the sneaking one i heard it when we finished and people were still walking on it.


After that we did fitness we did push ups i was one of the first one who finished the actual push ups. When we finished the push ups General Goodwin said that we won’t last a day out in the war. Then he said we have to do ten sit ups i was zooming through them. Then he said we have to balance and we stood on one leg it was easy and we had to wave our hands in the air.

He took us back to class doing all of the activities for coming back to the class.
i had fun it was so crazy at first and weird about all of it.
I felt dumb at first then i got used to it and i liked it so much.

Kia Ora welcome to my blog again hope you like my posts. My name is Kauri,i am a year 6 at Pt England school. My amazing teacher is Mr Goodwin, i am in room 7. because the teachers decided who they would choose. I enjoy to go to the beach and the pools to swim, because when i swim it is nice and cold when it is hot. I like to eat homemade food, because it’s a good experience for me and it is delicious. my Favorite set of movies are marvel movies. I play a soccer game on Tuesday, and soccer training on Sunday morning. On the weekend morning we play Xbox games. I have a one year old puppy named Mack, and a seventeen year old cat i have 11 brothers and two sisters.














Task Description:
For this task we were given a template from Mr Goodwin to write about ourselves for the about me section on our blog. We had to think about our different interests, hobbies, and information about ourselves in a way that was cybersmart.
