Art Walk - why? when? how?

Favourite piece

Today we went on an art expedition. We went on an art expo because it was Art alive theme this year so all we did is we placed out all of our art and went around. We had to walk around the school. our last class we went to was the year 2s place, my favourite art piece was painting on the windows and we saw some interesting stuff like dollar signs  we also saw some Indian elephants they were very interesting.  

i liked the elephant art because they used crayons and it was very good how it ended up. so my classes art was wired stick men covered in masking tape covered in paper Mache' and plaster of Paris and then we painted over it.

Task Description: we had to do the instructions of like how many dice combinations you could get and we had to do it with a buddy.

Famous Protester

Kate Sheppard was born in 1847 in England she moved to New Zealand. She is famous for women's suffrage petition.

Who is Kate Sheppard?

Kate Sheppard is a Famous protester who protested for women’s rights she fought her whole life for women’s rights. She tried her hardest she was famous so people agreed mostly women because they want women to be able to do stuff to. She was a talented writer and a powerful speaker, in her age of New Zealand women got less rights than men did they weren’t aloud to vote they had to do less then men. 

Did Kate Sheppard succeed first try? 

Before Kate Sheppard protest she talked to New Zealand and put it on the news paper to make it out there it took six years to talk and do news paper.Kate Sheppard lost her first petition in 1891 but she tried again and collected more signatures another petition in 1892 was unsuccessful but in 1893 she convinced 32 000 people to sign. They had so many signatures that they had to carry it in a wheel barrow she won the third petition and it took 3 years to do and now women can vote.

How long did Kate Sheppard protest?

It took 3 years for Kate Sheppard to protest but it took six years for her to go around New Zealand to talk and write newspapers and articles. So it took her 9 years in total to protest and she finally succeeded did it work yes she had a lot of supporters and she was the leader. New Zealand was the first country to do women rights.

Kate Sheppard is a good person overall this has changed the world for everybody and she has aloud women to vote in the world.

Georges Seurat

 

Task Description: we had to study about this new artist called Georges Seurat this was our sixth rotation for art and he paints in dashes and dots this is a poster about his art.

Naughts & Crosses

Task Description: Today we had to read the text about Naught & Crosses and what there differences are between them and then we had to answer the questions then we had to do the create task.

Probability problem in maths

Task Description:today we had to read the instructions carefully then we had to draw out one of the cubes that a different pair gave us, and my pair gave them ours.

Protests Racism

 Racism was a big problem because dark people were the second class so the white people were taking stuff that the dark people can't use so they would just have to wait for the white people first. so they protest about how the dark people have to wait for the white people first like what happen to Rosa Parks she sat in a seat and some white person said to get off and she refused and went to jail and her friends got her out of jail with money. so they boycotted the buses and some people had to walk miles to get to there work. so that was the solution of the problem they had so the buses had no money because of the people boycotting.

Stand up

Task Description: we had to answer the questions and we had read the book about protests and about each one of the protests.

Labour Weekend

Task Description: we had to do some of the questions then we had to work out some of the stuff like we had to pull out the four options until we had ten and we had to say how many times we had each one.

He aha te Taima?

Task description: we had to answer the questions then we had to do a create task and that create task was to say one of the Maori phrases.

Water Worries

Task Description: we had to do the slide we had to read a book and answer the questions.  then we had to write a paragraph about T.E.E.L which stands for topic sentence, example, explanation and link.

Algebra

Task Description: we had to work out some algebra-tic equations it was really fun and really tricky and in the end i figured it out .

Task Description: we and to show emotion and the different lines in the element of line.
