I want to go and visit Tane Mahuta and i can because i am on holiday in North land. But it is a two hour drive in the car and it maybe too far for my Mum to drive. my name is Kauri so I would be interested to go and see the biggest Kauri tree in New Zealand.

ReplyDeleteI really hope you go and visit the beautiful and powerful endemic tree specially because you got the same name! :0) Have you asked your mum why she named you Kauri?
I used to live up North so I had the privilege to visit this forest couple times and I can tell you that in there I felt very connected to nature and quite inspired by the majestic size of Tāne Mahuta. Do you know that the tree height is 45.2 meters? That is pretty tall right?!! I am wondering if anybody has climb it yet, what do you reckon?
