Activity 1 Day two:Forest Life summer learning journey

I want to go and visit Tane Mahuta and i can because i am on holiday in North land. But it is a two hour drive in the car and it maybe too far for my Mum to drive. my name is Kauri so I would be interested to go and see the biggest Kauri tree in New Zealand.

  1. Kia ora Kauri,
I really hope you go and visit the beautiful and powerful endemic tree specially because you got the same name! :0) Have you asked your mum why she named you Kauri?
I used to live up North so I had the privilege to visit this forest couple times and I can tell you that in there I felt very connected to nature and quite inspired by the majestic size of Tāne Mahuta. Do you know that the tree height is 45.2 meters? That is pretty tall right?!! I am wondering if anybody has climb it yet, what do you reckon?
Keep up with the great work!
    Kia kaha,
    Patricia
