Modern Olympics poster

 

We had to make a poster on a sport on a video and this is what i chose and it is 3 on 3 basketball i chose this because i play basketball.

we had to do all of these slides I was kinda confused at first but then I understood I was confused because I was behind because I was at extension so I was working on the astronomical inventions work.

Olympics

What i know already:

I know that in the olden days that they did it nude also that one person ran 1500 miles in 2 days. They were also only men and they were rich no women were aloud to compete. But now anyone can compete from any race and any genders.

Three questions:

What is the average of activities that get added a year?

How many activities are there in the Olympic?

What is the largest amount of distance in the largest javelin throw? 

What i want to learn:

I want to know how long has the javelin throw activity has been in the Olympics? why and how it was added?

Volume

We did slides about volume perimeter and area we had to work it out on the maths book

Immersion assembly

 Today was the first day of school and our theme for this year is Healthy me, Healthy you. We had 5 different categories for all of the teams. 

The first team was team one, team one had a video and the video was about them deciding what they should have and there were only unhealthy things laid out in front of them and then super heroes gave them the choice of a healthy thing.They took it and they started exercising and they felt happier. 

My favourite team was team five because Preview attachment they were acting out the three different countries and competing in the Olympics. and the representing countries were Australia, USA, and New Zealand.  New Zealand did like ribbon dancing USA did hula hoop dancing and Australia was like bouncing a ball.

Speech

 Kia ora,  my name is Kauri and i’m going, to tell you one way to be a good leader. Are you a good leader? 

A good leader is someone who can show respect. A good way to show respect is to listen to people. Another way is to  stand up and speak in front of people respectfully. Respect also can mean you can, not only respect others but property as well.
